The link above leads to some of the Design Thinking frameworks we used in preparing for Impact Week. Feel free to explore the Impact Week website to understand more of their mission as an international non-profit aimed to generate social change. The picture above is my team, the Giggles, for which I am a coach. My favorite activity was interviewing where we took to the streets and cold confronted strangers to better understand our theme of psychological safety. Initially, the interviews fell flat and were a minute of awkward yes-no responses. Just an hour later, my crew was able to converse for ten minutes and discover heartwarming stories. Supporting the growth of others in an entrepreneurial context has been fantastic.

I have a running joke with my friends that we are all wantrepreneurs. We consistently dream up compelling ideas, and yet never actually see them through. Take BudgetBasket, a grocery store budgeting app my friends and I “half-baked” during HackNC last year. Did I spend time designing a nice logo to fill an identifiable niche? Yes. Does our backend function in the slightest? No. I’m really disappointed by my tendency to talk the talk and not walk the walk. I hope seeing the dedication of other Shuford scholars will inspire me to stay devoted to my own endeavors.

In continuing the trend of submitting goofy YouTube videos to Shuford, I thought to share a short film to underscore highlights of ECON410. I made the video as an Undergraduate Learning Assistant to spread positive vibes among students in the ECON ecosystem. I’m still cooking up some higher effort pieces (wantrepreneur), but I can at least share a slice to contextualize my creative outputs.

The rest of my website has some more curatorial efforts. Click around if you’re curious!
